An AI chatbot for your online store

Shoppers who cannot find an answer leave. Owlbee answers product, sizing, shipping and returns questions from your own store content, so customers get what they need without waiting for an email reply.

Questions your store chatbot can answer

Product questions

Materials, sizes, compatibility and the difference between two similar products, with a link to the right product page.

Shipping and delivery

Where you ship, delivery times and costs, taken from your shipping policy.

Returns and exchanges

Your returns window, conditions and how to start a return.

Prices and offers

Prices from your catalogue or price list. Owlbee never invents a price that is not in your content.

Sizing and care

Size guides and care instructions, from your pages or an uploaded guide.

Store information

Contact details, opening hours for a physical shop, and wholesale or trade enquiries.

Unanswered questions cost sales

The Baymard Institute puts the average documented online cart abandonment rate at about 70%, and unexpected extra costs and slow delivery are among the most common reasons shoppers give. Clear, instant answers about shipping costs, delivery times and returns before checkout help shoppers decide with confidence.

Built for real product catalogues

When you build your chatbot from your store's address, Owlbee recognizes common shop platforms, including Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Wix and Squarespace. It reads your sitemap to see how many products and categories you have, and samples products from across the shop rather than just the first few.

Large shops cannot be read page by page in one go. When Owlbee could only read part of your catalogue, it says so on the review screen and suggests uploading a product export as an Excel file, which works best for up to about 2,000 products. Shipping, returns and FAQ pages are read first, because those are the questions shoppers ask most.

Set up a store chatbot

  1. Build from your store address

Enter your shop's homepage on the Create Chatbot page and review the draft Owlbee writes.

  2. Add your policies and catalogue

Upload your shipping and returns policy and, for larger shops, a product export (XLSX).

  3. Install it on your shop

Paste the embed snippet into your theme. Follow the Shopify guide or the guides for other platforms.

  4. Watch the questions roll in

Use top questions in analytics to find missing product details and improve your product pages.

What the chatbot does not do

Owlbee does not look up live order status or stock levels and cannot take payments. For questions like "where is my order?" it can point customers to your tracking page or contact details.

Frequently asked questions

It is a chat window on your online store that answers shopper questions about products, shipping, returns and your store, so customers can decide to buy without waiting for an email reply.

Yes. Owlbee learns from your product pages and any product export you upload, so it can describe products, compare them and link to the right page.

If your platform lets you add custom code to your theme or site footer, you can install Owlbee. That includes Shopify, WooCommerce on WordPress, BigCommerce, Wix and Squarespace, though some platforms only allow custom code on paid plans.

Not at the moment. Owlbee answers from your content and does not connect to your order system, so it points customers to your order tracking page instead.
